During Healthy Heart Week, sixth graders at Howell Road participated in an animal heart dissection. Prior to the dissection, students learned about the different parts of the heart and their functions. While students dissected the animal heart, they looked for the different parts, such as an aorta or valve. Students look forward to this “heart-y” dissection all year long!
