Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen recently celebrated Digital Citizenship Week, an initiative aimed at educating students about the responsible use of technology and digital media.
Throughout the week, students participated in various activities designed to promote safe and respectful online behavior. These activities included lessons on internet safety, privacy, cyberbullying, digital footprints, and the importance of balancing screen time with other activities. Teachers helped the students understand the digital world. The goal was to equip students, staff, and parents with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions in the digital world.
The celebration of Digital Citizenship Week is part of the district’s ongoing commitment to creating a positive school culture that supports safe and responsible technology use.
