Dr. Seuss Day at Willow Road

March 15, 2017

Willow Road Elementary School recently celebrated the birthday of Theodor Geisel, known to us as the beloved Dr. Seuss. In his honor, classroom doors were decorated, children wore red and white striped hats, and we even had our own “Cat in the Hat” – dressing the part was our building aide Lorraine Grosso! While celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday, a separate event was taking place in the library with our librarian, CaroleAnne Weik and our PTA representative’s, Denise Cona and Michelle Chiarovano. The B.E.A.R. program, known as Be Excited About Reading, through the PTA and the Scholastic Literacy Program, affords each child a book. The children came to the library to choose a book to take home for their own. Thank you to all who contributed to a remarkable day at Willow Road Elementary School!
