Ms. Kieran and Ms. Byrnes’ 6th grade classes recently investigated how friction and gravity impacts an object as it goes down a zip line. The educational lesson was holiday themed, as students used the classroom elf as the object gliding down the zip line. The students practiced their engineering and design process skills to ensure their elf stayed secure and went down the zip line in 5 seconds.
