Howell Road Elementary School Hosts Annual STEAM Night

April 6, 2026

Howell Road Elementary School recently welcomed students, families, and community members for its highly anticipated annual STEAM Night, an evening dedicated to exploring science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through interactive, hands-on experiences.

The event transformed the school into a hub of creativity and innovation, where attendees engaged in a wide range of activities designed to spark curiosity and excitement for learning. From flying drones and experimenting with flight technology to coding and programming robots, students had the opportunity to dive into real-world applications of STEAM concepts. Families worked side-by-side with their children, building structures, solving challenges, and discovering how classroom lessons translate into practical skills. Teachers and staff guided participants through engaging stations that encouraged critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.

The drone demonstrations were a highlight of the evening, giving students a chance to learn about aerodynamics and control systems, while robotics stations introduced coding fundamentals in an accessible and exciting way. Additional activities incorporated art and design, emphasizing the importance of creativity in STEM-related fields.

The success of STEAM Night reflects Howell Road Elementary School’s ongoing commitment to fostering a love of learning and preparing students for future opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.
