Valley Stream Union Free School District Thirteen’s James A. Dever Elementary School recently received a special lesson on the importance of brushing teeth after every meal. Ms. Lynn of New Wave Dentistry visited the kindergarten and first grade students to demonstrate the importance of dental hygiene—using a dinosaur stuffed animal to showcase the best brushing techniques.
Valley Stream Union Free School District strives to teach its students lessons that are not solely based on curriculum but translate to everyday life. With the help of professionals like Ms. Lynn, the District will continue to provide valuable life lessons for its students during the school day.
