The Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen recently appointed two community members – Patricia Forte and Jennifer Oliver – to represent the District on the Nassau B.O.C.E.S. Budget Advisory Committee. The appointments were announced by Board of Education President William P. Stris and Trustee Toni Pomerantz after a lengthy interview process with numerous qualified residents. President Stris and Trustee Pomerantz also serve on this committee.
Patricia Forte and Jennifer Oliver will report back to the Board of Education at the February meeting to discuss activities occurring on the Advisory Committee.
