The Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting in July, marking the official start of a new year through the swearing-in of a newly elected board member and the appointment of Board leadership.
The evening began with the administration of the Oath of Office to the district’s elected members of the Board of Education, who officially commenced their terms and reaffirmed their commitment to serving the students, staff, and community of Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Board elected and appointed its officers for the upcoming year. The newly elected president Sarah Sabatino was administered the Oath of Office, followed by the election and swearing-in of the vice president and the alternate vice president. The meeting also included the administration of the Oath of Office to the Superintendent, reaffirming the district’s commitment to collaborative leadership and continued excellence in education.
