Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen recently celebrated American Education Week, inviting families across the district to visit their children’s classrooms and observe the district’s educational program.
The week-long celebration was an opportunity for families to witness firsthand the many accomplishments made by the students in the district. The event allowed families to participate in Fall and Thanksgiving-related classroom activities, fostering a sense of community and shared learning experiences.
“We are proud to celebrate American Education Week and showcase the hard work and achievements of our students,” said Dr. Judith LaRocca, Superintendent of Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen. “It is a wonderful opportunity for families to engage with their child’s learning environment and see the progress they have made.”
The celebration of American Education Week is part of Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen’s ongoing commitment to fostering a strong connection between home and school. The district believes that parental involvement is crucial to student success and strives to create opportunities for families to engage in their children’s education.
