Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen proudly hosted its annual Multicultural Night, bringing together students, families, staff, and community members for an evening dedicated to celebrating the rich diversity that defines the district.
The event showcased a vibrant mix of cultural traditions, foods, music, and student performances representing the many backgrounds of the Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen community. Attendees traveled “around the world” through interactive exhibits created by classrooms and student clubs, each highlighting a different country or cultural heritage.
Highlights of the evening included:
- Student performances featuring traditional dances and music
- Cultural booths displaying artifacts, art, clothing, and geography from various nations
- International cuisine prepared by families
- Hands-on activities such as crafts, language demonstrations, and cultural storytelling
