Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen recently observed Red Ribbon Week, a nationwide campaign promoting drug awareness and encouraging students to make healthy choices. This year’s celebration featured a week-long spirit week, during which students engaged in themed activities that fostered community spirit and reinforced the message of living a drug-free life.
Throughout the week, students participated in a variety of themed dress-up days. Each day was filled with fun activities and educational sessions, emphasizing the importance of staying drug-free and making positive choices.
“Red Ribbon Week is an essential part of our efforts to educate our students about the dangers of drug use,” said Superintendent Dr. Judith LaRocca. “We are proud to see our community come together to promote a positive and healthy lifestyle.”
Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen remains committed to supporting its students in making healthy choices and fostering an environment where they can thrive. The district looks forward to continuing these important conversations and activities throughout the year.
