Schools across Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen celebrated outdoor fun and camaraderie during their annual Field Day event. Students enjoyed the beautiful Long Island spring weather while participating in various activities that fostered teamwork and created lasting memories.

Field Day is a cherished tradition in many school districts across the country. From relay races to tug-of-war, students across all grade levels enthusiastically participated in various events designed to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness.

“Field Day is not just a day of fun and games; it’s an opportunity for our students to develop crucial social and interpersonal skills,” remarked Dr. Judith LaRocca, Superintendent of Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen. “Seeing our students come together, enjoy the sunshine, and build lasting memories with their peers is heartwarming.”

The event also provided a platform for students to showcase their talents and creativity through various team-building challenges and collaborative activities. Whether working together to navigate obstacle courses or strategizing to win friendly competitions, students demonstrated resilience, cooperation, and leadership throughout the day.
