In June, Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen held commencement ceremonies for the graduating sixth-grade classes of James A. Dever, Howell Road, Wheeler Avenue, and Willow Road elementary schools.
“On behalf of the entire district, I’d like to say congratulations to our graduates who have worked so hard in the years spent in Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen,” said Dr. Judith LaRocca, Superintendent of Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen. “Our students’ dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their education has paid off, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them as they continue their academic journey in middle school. Thank you to our incredible staff, families, and students for making this another successful year.”
In attendance at the commencement ceremonies were Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen Board of Education Trustees, the Superintendent, and administration personnel, many of whom took the opportunity to address the graduating class and their families at the respective ceremonies. Additionally, the principal of each school delivered a farewell address to their sixth-grade students.
