Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen recently hosted an exciting week of STEAM Night events across its schools, celebrating the joys of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Students and families explored hands-on, interactive stations designed to spark creativity and curiosity.
Each school featured a number of activities, including navigating Sphero robots through a maze, experiencing immersive learning with virtual reality headsets, designing parachutes for an egg-drop challenge, launching stomp rockets, crafting aerodynamic rockets, and engaging in Battle Bot competitions.
The events were organized by the district’s Technology Committee and dedicated teacher volunteers, with additional support from the district’s 21st Century Education staff.
