Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen was proudly represented by its talented student-artists during the prestigious New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) Exhibit. This annual event, sponsored by the New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA), showcased incredible artistic talent from students across New York State.
Taking place during the NYSSBA Convention in New York City this year, the exhibit provided a unique platform for student artists to display their work to school board members and attendees. This year’s exhibit featured various creative pieces that highlight the diverse artistic expressions of our young talents.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and their hard work,” said Dr. Judith LaRocca, Superintendent of Valley Stream UFSD Thirteen. “This exhibit celebrates their artistic achievements and fosters a deeper connection between our schools and local educational leaders. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our students to shine on a larger stage.”
The NYSSBA Convention offers school board members a chance to engage with student artwork, inspiring discussions about the importance of arts education in schools. The virtual exhibit will remain accessible to attendees and the public until December 31, 2024, allowing even more people to appreciate the creativity and skill of Valley Stream’s young artists.
