Wheeler Avenue Elementary School students recently participated in the annual Jump Rope for Heart event, a fun and engaging initiative designed to promote heart health, physical activity, and healthy habits. Led by physical education instructors Ms. Miller, Ms. Rush, and Mr. Primeggia, the event brought the school community together to raise awareness and funds for life-saving heart disease research through the American Heart Association.
The Jump Rope for Heart program encourages students to get moving and form heart-healthy habits while learning the importance of exercise and proper nutrition. Throughout the event, students demonstrated their jump rope skills, with each jump supporting the cause of heart disease research. Students were also allowed to seek donations from family, friends, and the local community for their jumping achievements, with all funds raised benefiting critical research that helps to save lives and prevent heart disease.
The Wheeler Avenue Elementary School community embraced the event with enthusiasm, and it was a success on many levels: students learned how to stay heart-healthy, had fun while jumping for a cause, and raised vital funds for heart disease research.
The school extends its heartfelt thanks to the students, parents, staff, and the local community for their generous support in making this event a success. Together, they are helping ensure a healthier future for generations to come.
