On Tuesday December 20th the Willow Road Elementary School String Ensemble and Glee Club performed at the Franklin Square Senior Center. The young musicians were directed by Ms. Cynthia Shannon & Ms. Amanda Agosta. The students performed both their Winter Concert music as well as many holiday favorites. The hour long performance filled the room with joy and all the patrons were smiling.
After the performance students had lunch and socialized with the patrons of the center. The students shared stories and trends with the “grandparents”. The patrons of the center were impressed with not only their musical performance but with their fun and youthful take on the conversations they had. This is an annual event at Willow. At this time of year it is wonderful to do nice things for one another and spread good cheer.
